DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY

Redgrave LLP is seeking a Director focused on Microsoft M365 functions and capabilities, including significant experience with all aspects of Microsoft Purview addressing Data Governance, Data Security, and Risk and Compliance (especially eDiscovery), as well as experience with Co-Pilot. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and growing Redgrave LLP’s competitive position by working directly with clients to solve complex issues and mitigate risk related to the M365 family of productivity software, collaboration and cloud-based services. The candidate will define custom strategic solutions for clients adopting M365, leveraging deep knowledge and experience working with and advising on available configurations and complexities. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the creation and enhancement of service offerings related to Microsoft 365 products and services, including Purview eDiscovery, Data Lifecycle Management, Information Protection, and M365 Copilot. The candidate will define strategies for the protection of client data utilizing Microsoft solutions such as Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Information Protection and Copilot for Security. The candidate will assess and advise on best practices for defensible implementation of M365 features and create detailed written documentation (e.g., defensibility memoranda; process documentation; procedures; strategic plans; migration plans). The candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess new Microsoft features, as they are released, to identify impact and define defensible solutions to support ongoing client service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate and maintain trusted relationships with Firm team members, clients, business partners, and vendors.

Manage client relationships, including the identification of key issues, review of technical issues, development of strategies and analysis, and presentation of alternatives and solutions to the client at the highest executive levels; initiate and structure ongoing relationship and follow up on implementation activities.

Lead the technical (non-legal) aspect of engagements, identifying needs for technical input and provide quality analysis and recommendation of strategies related to the range of elements appropriate to the client situation.

Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of non-lawyers, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Ensure that all delegated work is performed consistent with all professional and ethical requirements imposed by rule of law and the Firm.

Perform an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time and within scope and budget.

Actively contribute to the development of the Firm and its brand.

Identify and direct business development initiatives and opportunities that result in business generation, including support for request for proposals (“RFP”).

Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.

Successfully develop and maintain superior client relationships through direct and indirect marketing efforts (e.g., articles, speeches, other PR, webinars, conferences, etc.).

Be responsive to client services in a timely manner.

Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training Firm team members.

Actively influence the growth and development of Firm team members; act as mentor.

Work with Firm team members to develop objective performance measurements across the Firm, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluations and goal setting for all employees.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Proven technical, client management, project plan design, facilitation, and project leadership skills.

Depth of experience with M365, including:

M365 Purview: Practical experience with eDiscovery functionality including configuration options; practical experience with labels and classification both for confidentiality and retention periods; and knowledge about legal hold management tool within Purview.

M365 Teams: Storage; preservation, identification, and collection for litigation; and setting retention.

M365 SharePoint & OneDrive: Preservation, identification, and collection for litigation; setting retention; setting labels and classification both for confidentiality and retention periods.

Experience in a legal context (information governance or litigation/eDiscovery) with Google office productivity suite products.

Experience with mobile devices and messaging, including:

Mobile Device Management tools.

Preservation for litigation of texts, messaging and mobile device data.

Methods for collection of mobile device texts/messages.

Archiving solutions for text and messaging applications.

Experience with evaluating the sufficiency of migrations from archiving solutions to other platforms (e.g. from an email journal archive to M365) from a preservation and legal defensibility perspective.

Experience with investigating and developing facts regarding unfamiliar systems and platforms to help in understanding how the system works, what it contains, and how to effectuate preservation, identification, and collection of data.

Experience with investigating data loss, determining root cause(s), and developing the technical facts and supporting evidence surrounding same.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in eDiscovery and information governance within a law firm, consulting advisory firm, or corporate management function.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Masters or other advanced degree preferred.

Experience managing staff and remote teams.

Experience managing multiple, complex initiatives.

Ability to travel up to 35% percent of the time.

Ability to travel internationally.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Frequently reaches and grasps with arms and hands; occasionally stoops and bends; must have manual dexterity.

Ability to closely examine and inspect materials.

Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Ability to travel as needed.

Frequently uses a keyboard to enter or transform words or data.

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are few physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, noise, and the like.
