The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic job shop environment, demonstrating proficiency in multi-axis machining, organizing and prioritizing machine shop jobs, and possessing the ability to work independently.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes with multi-axis capabilities using next-generation control.Utilize MasterCAM and FeatureCAM software for efficient programming and toolpath generation.Design and draw parts in CAD Software (Solidworks).Reverse-engineering existing parts and creating full set of Engineering drawings.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to plan and prioritize machine shop jobs based on timelines and requirements.Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.Conduct daily checks and perform preventive maintenance of CNC machines and shop equipment.Flexibility in schedule to support machining parts for plant equipment downtime emergencies outside of standard working hours.Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.QualificationsUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills

must be met in order to qualify for position.Education:Two (2) year technical degree from a certified Trade School or Technical College in Machine Tool Technology or related degree, plus four (4) years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.ORIf No degree: Must have a total of eight (8) years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc:All candidates must successfully pass a standard machining hands-on assessment which involves topics related to this position.Must be present and able to perform the essential functions of the job.Required Skills:Proficiency in programming and operating HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes with multi-axis capabilities running HAAS next-generation control.Strong knowledge in MasterCAM and FeatureCAM software.Knowledge of G-code programming.Expertise in Solidworks CAD software.Experience reverse-engineering existing parts and components to create 3D and 2D engineering drawing sets and documentation.Prior experience with preventive maintenance of CNC machines is preferred.Ability to work independently and organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced job shop environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with a variety of Engineering materials, including metals and plastics.Experience with CAD/CAM software for design and machining applications.Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading in ISO and US formats.Use of measurement tools such as Rules, Calipers, Micrometers, height gages, etc.
