Job Description:As a Network Engineer within the Enterprise Networking Services team, you will provide technical support for the Client's enterprise networks. This role involves planning, designing, maintaining, and integrating local and wide area networks, contributing to the architecture of Enterprise networking solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, vendor management, and ensuring security compliance across network infrastructure. Candidates should have extensive hands-on experience in large environments and strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for Enterprise networks, managing systems like Client Net and Keystone Net.Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN edge appliances, and wireless components.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues with various stakeholders and vendors.Act as a vendor liaison, enforcing SLA compliance and coordinating system upgrades and testing.Analyze network bandwidth, capacity, and plan network modifications or enhancements.Support deployment, change management efforts, and incident response within the networking team.Identify and troubleshoot complex network issues, communicating findings with other networking teams.Collaborate with the Enterprise architect and Service Delivery teams to design technical solutions for future network needs.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration standards.Ensure compliance with security requirements for all network installations and updates.Maintain knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), network monitoring, and automation tools.Manage change requests, incident tickets, and reporting within the ServiceNow platform.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience with a 4-year degree in a related field.Extensive hands-on experience with network switching, routing, and enterprise networking.CCNA and CCNP certifications preferred, or equivalent experience.Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, including capacity planning and schematic design.Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).Proficiency in network management tools and automation, as well as security compliance for networks.Experience with ServiceNow for incident management and reporting.Strong oral and written communication skills and experience with customer-facing support.Knowledge of ITIL 4 practices, particularly in change, problem, and incident management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on emerging network trends.Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
