For a complete description of our benefits for this position, please visit our website.POSITION COMPLEXITIESThe Director of the MIPM program serves as the academic and administrative lead for the program as well as the chief student recruiter and program spokesperson. This position is responsible for overseeing student advising and outreach, planning and leading programmatic services for students, facilitating the admissions and enrollment processes, supervising student and academic services staff, and fostering collaboration and partnerships to support program and student success.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdmissions, Enrollment Management & Outreach (30%)

Lead and assist with all student recruitment activities.Strategize with Department staff on approaches to build the College and Department brand.Post regular updates on group MIPM LinkedIn account.Collaborate closely with UW Continuum College Marketing staff.Develop an annual marketing plan.Collaborate with CBE Advancement staff and UW Continuum writers.Represent the program at University and industry events.Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and MIPM alumni.Ensure prospective student tracking system is kept up to date.Lead the development and revision of admissions policies.Manage the program’s annual admission process.Strategize with MIPM Leadership Team on ways to reduce admissions melt and attrition rates.Produce annual admissions report.Collaborate with Department Chair on tuition increases.Manage the student notification process for tuition increases.

Advising and Student & Academic Services (25%)

Oversee program student advising program.Serve as point of contact to resolve student/instructor difficulties.Advise, mentor and coach students.Oversee the administration of academic probation guidelines.Ensure lists to track student progress are kept up to date.Liaise with CBE Student Services group.Submit MIPM student applications for GSEE scholarships.

Program Oversight and Management (25%)

Collaborate with UW Continuum College staff and Department Administrator to prepare annual budget.Brief Department Chair on changes in UW Continuum College fee structure.Review monthly budget reports.Identify the need to raise tuition annually.Hold regular meetings with UDP Chair.Supervise all the work of the part-time MIPM Program Coordinator.Review and approve timesheets for student reader/graders.Lead weekly MIPM Leadership Team meetings.Initiate and manage vendor contracts.Facilitate quarterly faculty meetings.Represent the program at various events.

Curriculum and Instructional Management (20%)

Oversee curriculum content and instruction.Incentivize faculty to update course content.Add and delete courses as necessary.Partner with other University or College programs.Identify and hire course instructors.Coordinate payroll of instructors and assistants.Ensure all instructors have access to online teaching training.Oversee the accuracy of content in the quarterly time schedules.Make decisions on the number of add codes available per course.Identify guest speakers for faculty meetings.Serve as liaison with other programs and partners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in a relevant field, such as planning, public affairs, or business and 4 years of experience in student affairs/services and/or academic advising or related activity. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with UW administrative policies and procedures.Knowledge of UW Graduate School and Registrar policies.Familiarity with UW Student Database.Experience managing online graduate degree programs.Application Process:
