To keep pace with this growth, the North America Used Cars team is seeking a dynamic problem solver with exceptional ability to challenge us to think differently. This team is responsible for the multi-billion Tesla Used Cars business focused on the intake, refurbishment, and resale of all used Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. The right person is hungry to dive into critical challenges in the Service organization, breaking down silos and partnering closely with cross-functional teams across Tesla to drive the business forward.

The Project Manager role requires the flexibility to adapt, a deep understanding of stakeholder management and the ability to influence without authority, and a forward-thinking nature to anticipate trends. You will be responsible for developing and championing step-change improvements to the used vehicle refurbishment process, finding ways to repair vehicles more quickly and at the highest standard of quality, support new strategic initiatives, and manage multiple critical projects simultaneously. This dynamic and multifaceted position requires exceptional communication skills, a developed understanding of business operations, and a track record of effectively guiding initiatives to success under challenging conditions.

What You’ll Do

Identify critical problem statements for the business and employ first-principles approach to problem solving.

Lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing used vehicle refurbishment operational efficiency and quality.

Shadow and build relationships with internal teams to understand the challenges in their day-to-day work.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Used Cars, Collision, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to align strategies and ensure successful execution.

Dive into data, structure pilots, track and measure results, iterate then launch solutions that can scale across different markets to drive operational efficiency.

Regularly present written and verbal proposals to improve the business to senior leaders across Tesla and adjust strategy based on feedback.

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $150,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
