The program specialist will be knowledgeable in business consulting, training, and counseling for women entrepreneurs to help them overcome challenges in starting, growing, and sustaining their businesses. Additionally, this role will provide data analysis and intelligence to improve NEW WBC’s efficiency by identifying areas for improvement and strengthening processes. As an ambassador for the organization, this person is also responsible for actively supporting the overall mission and vision of NEW.Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to create goal-oriented action plans for each client.Formulate, prepare, and schedule business workshops/webinars, including calendar and CRM management.Manage client database to ensure client profiles are complete and accurate.Work in a team environment to plan and execute two events during the calendar year to promote small businesses.Prepare monthly goals and program impact reports.Evaluate, analyze, and prepare 10 workshops per month.Coordinate the program’s operation updates, including Zoom, Eventbrite, Website, Neoserra, Google Calendar, and Facebook for at least 10 workshops/webinars a month.Complete a confidential profile for each client who participates in the program, including all required details by the SBA-641. A monthly report on the progress of clients is required.Propose subject matter experts/external consultants, ensuring they fill out the contract and provide necessary documentation for Director approval.Coordinate the schedule for outside consultants while adhering to the budget (maximum of 2 per client per year) and provide monthly reports on external consultations approved in compliance with the budget.Support all programs of the NEW WBC as needed with special projects or assignments.Qualifications and Experience
Experience in consulting and training small business owners.Excellent verbal, organizational, and written communication skills, including time management.Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks and projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented.Bilingual with an emphasis in Spanish is preferred.Education
BA/BS in Management, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years’ experience in program management for small businesses.Additional Requirements
Must have access to reliable transportation and provide proof of current California driver’s license, acceptable driving record (current DMV H6 printout), and current liability auto insurance.Fingerprinting and TB Clearance.Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.New Economics for Women (NEW) is an equal opportunity employer.
