.About the role:The Building Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a high standard of Building Surveying practice and customer service is provided to internal and external customers. Providing professional and technical assistance to the Manager Public Health and Building Services as well as the broader Development and Compliance Business Unit leadership team, this role plays a vital part of ensuring that the community’s built environment is safe and compliant.The City of Cockburn is a nationally recognised leading local government , providing its employees with generous employment conditions and highly desirable lifestyle benefits, including:Generous superannuation (up to 15.5%)Additional 2 days of leave per yearCockburn ARC membershipCommuter Use of Council VehicleHours : 76 hours per fortnight (full time 9-day fortnight).Salary:
$128,545 - $137,086 per annum, depending on skills and experience.About YOU!To be the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate:Extensive Building Surveying experience and Level 1 or Level 2 DEMIRS Registration (WA).Confidence in conducting and documenting building inspections for all categories and construction types.Extensive knowledge and technical proficiency in solving complex issues in a statutory environment.Knowledge and experience in implementing up-to-date building practices and applying relevant legislation.Strong communication skills, suitable for presenting complex issues to a diverse audience.About the CityThe City of Cockburn is one of the major coastal cities in Western Australia.
