MinneapolisDescription DESCRIPTIONStation 19 Architects is an architecture firm in Minneapolis, MN with 50 years of experience that exists to strategically and effectively partner with nonprofit ministries to help them carry out their vision for their facility though quality design and quality technical solutions.We are expanding our team to include a self-motivated Architect / Architectural Designer to join our team of design professionals. This position, in our collaborative, innovative, highly productive, team environment will allow for a high level of involvement on planning and architectural design, architectural detailing, documentation, preparation of Archicad models, document management, project organization, and presentations. There are opportunities to gain knowledge, understanding, and skill in both historical and contemporary buildings, as well as the various types and phases of projects from small interior remodels, to mid-sized additions, to large-scale new facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS● Display creativity in problem solving and design of space, and follow-up with options● Display excellent graphic sensibilities with quality graphic presentations● Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing● Be flexible in tasks given and in managing schedules and deadlines● Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently● Meet deadlines with a willingness to put in extra effort when needed● “Do whatever it takes” to help fulfill the mission of our company● We want someone who is: (Qualities) ○ Confident and humble○ Willing to take risks○ Curious and willing to learn○ Graphically minded and inclined○ A team player○ Servant-hearted
QUALIFICATIONS● 3-5 years minimum of architectural design / architecture experience● Professional MArch or BArch Degree required from an Accredited Architecture School.● Licensed, or working towards licensure through AXP● Proficiency with BIM Software, Sketch-up, MacOS, Adobe Suite of Products, and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)● Experience in Archicad preferred – Revit acceptable● Project management and construction document experience● Knowledge of phases of design including planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, construction means, methods, and building techniques
