Job DetailsJob LocationAndover (KS) - Andover, KSPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftDayDescriptionThe Materials Planner is responsible for the coordination of the Bill of Materials (BOM) management process, costing and route time planning, and partnering with production and supply chain for effective materials planning.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS Responsible for the coordination of the Bill of Materials (BOM) management processCreate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials for assigned productsCollaborate with engineering to ensure that BOMs reflect current product designsUpdate BOMs to reflect changes in design, materials, or suppliersConduct regular BOM audits to identify and resolve discrepanciesEnsure BOM accuracy in MRP systemCoordinates costing and route time planningWork with production and procurement/supply chain team to ensure materials are available for manufacturingQualificationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION Bachelors degree, or comparable experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field3+ years of experience in BOM managementAPICS certification and/ or American Purchasing Society certification preferred Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processesProficiency in BOM Management software and ERP systemsExcellence analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in a manufacturing or production environmentEffective communication and interpersonal skillsSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC: Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to read blueprintsKnowledge/experience in Microsoft Dynamics AXPHYSICAL EFFORTAbility to sit, stand, walk intermittently for 8 hours.Ability to work on a PC as required.
