Summary We are recruiting an experienced and well-rounded Director of Human Resources to provide strategic and tactical human resources management. This role will direct and oversee all human resources functions including internal recruiting, employee training, employee relations, identifying and implementing human capital development opportunities, development of policies and procedures, multi-state compliance with current labor laws, and administration of employee benefits. NC, with a unique 4-day, 10-hour workweek. Compensation Highly competitive annual earnings comprised of a base salary along with bonus opportunities and full benefits. Primary Responsibilities Plan, direct, and implement policies for all areas of human resources including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and compliance. Deliver HR programs, solutions, and support on a company-wide and employee level consisting of approximately 260+ employees and growing. Lead the recruiting and onboarding process for positions across all portfolio companies Responsible for new hire training and ongoing training for all employees. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers, including career development and disciplinary action. Handle and resolve employee relations situations and partner with employees and management to deliver appropriate solutions; conduct employee disciplinary action and separation meetings. Administer and innovate human resources programs and policies to support company goals and positively engage the workforce. Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. Administer benefits programs such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and leave of absence. Responsible for the upkeep and administration of all company-related documents including company handbooks, employment agreements, non-solicitation and non-compete agreements, company training manuals, etc. Education, Skills, and Experience Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources. Progressive and proven experience in the Human Resources field. Broad generalist experience with demonstrable skills in organizational development & planning, talent management, compensation & rewards, and employee relations. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.
