Accountants One is working with a repeat client to hire a
Human Resources Generalist. This person
will be responsible for HR functions for three Jacksonville offices and warehouse facilities including an employee base of 60-plus managers and employees. The ideal candidate should be someone looking to complement and leverage their experience in HR for further career growth with a high-energy company with a diverse and open company culture. So, if you are dynamic, positive, know how to communicate effectively, and are also extremely organized, driven, self-motivated, and have a strong interest in HR.Your Day-to-Day:You will take ownership and lead the process for the following areas (not limited to):HR FunctionsHandle on-boarding and off-boarding tasks for employees.Manage employee programs, benefits, wellness, and 401k.Assist in the coordination of employee training and events.Create and update HR policies.Miscellaneous projects or tasks as needed.Employee RelationsProvide counsel to employees and managers through any employee relations issues.Advise managers by giving employee feedback and disciplinary issues.Exercise strict confidentiality.Leadership DevelopmentSupport employee leadership and development initiatives.Effectively coach managers and their teams.Talent AcquisitionPartner with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to hire for exempt and non-exempt roles following our talent selection process.Help create, update, and manage job descriptions.Support the talent selection process including candidate communication, interview coordination, and candidate assessments.Tools For Success:Essential Traits & SkillsTo be considered candidates must have the following:Problem-solving and impactful leadership abilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.Sensitivity to and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality.Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize effectively.Must be able to meet deadlines easily.Energetic and fun-loving personality. A great sense of humor is a huge plus!Computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Office knowledge specifically in
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree required.3 to 5 years of previous HR experience is required .2 to 3 years of employee relations experience is required.Previous experience in the logistics industry or warehouse environment is a plus.PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.LanguageCandidates are required to speak, read, and write in
English and Spanish fluently .
