all .Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.Our Opportunity Summary:As the Energy Procurement Manager for Global Energy and Water Procurement, you will be responsible for driving the energy and water category and supplier relationships for assigned energy and water procurement projects and regions. You will engage externally with consultants and 3rd party service providers. Internally, you will partner with Global Sustainability and Facilities teams and Site Facilities teams to settle scope, schedule and budget and supervise project status throughout the duration of the project. You will work with Micron Legal to determine the contract strategy needed to support each project, and then drive compliance to that contract. Your primary goal is to deliver the greatest value of each contract, which requires strong sourcing (negotiating), contracting, supplier management, and overall project management skills.What’s Encouraged Daily:Manage Supplier Relationship GloballyAct as primary point of contact within Procurement for assigned sustainability projects, programs and suppliersPerform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliersMaintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while optimally resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with Micron’s strategic directionEnsure suppliers align with Micron’s business ethics, code-of-conduct programs, and corporate safety policies and social responsibility initiativesCommunicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive LeadershipEnlist senior management, when appropriate, to help reinforce dedication and involvement from suppliersProvide the voice of the supply base to Micron and provide the voice of Micron to the supply baseDrive Negotiations with SuppliersLead or participate in negotiations for contractsLead and/or participate in sourcing events/RFQ processDevelop a contract strategy for each project, including to initiate negotiate, build and implement contracted terms and conditionsIncorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiationsLead Supplier PerformancePartner with collaborators and site teams to build a comprehensive view of supplier performanceCollect and relay site specific priorities to suppliersOwn and lead overall Strategic Supplier relationships for categoryCollaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and supervise supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvementLead in prioritizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review MeetingsBuild and Implement Category StrategyParticipate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal settingProvide market intelligence and price trends to relevant internal customers on a well-adapted scheduleApply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplaceServe as the subject matter expert for energy and water category and share knowledge with key customers and Indirect teams to enable more effective planning, forecasting and executionBuild and publish regular reports on assigned portfolioHow To Qualify:Bachelor's Degree or higherPMP certification or equivalent, preferredPrioritize multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal direction; strong project management skills5+ years of proven experience in Indirect Procurement. Energy procurement experience is helpfulGood knowledge of US energy markets, energy generation, legal, regulatory, pricing and billing structure of energy and water contracts.Strong modeling and data analysis skillsStrong negotiation skillsProficient in MS OfficeComfort around Senior Leaders and Executives, ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations
