The Distribution Center Director will oversee day-to-day operations within the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, picking, and shipping functions.This role involves establishing operational goals, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and service levels.The director will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, conducting performance evaluations and identifying training opportunities.The position requires maintaining accurate inventory records and minimizing discrepancies through regular cycle counts and audits.The director will manage the distribution center's budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational efficiencies.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, with a preference for a master's degree.A minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or warehouse management is required, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.The candidate should possess excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.Familiarity with lean management, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
