Position Announcement
Join Utah Valley University as an Administrative Assistant in Events & Outreach and play a key role in engaging and inspiring students through impactful Concurrent Enrollment events. Working under the Events & Outreach Coordinator, you'll help plan, implement, and assess on- and off-campus events designed to support high school students preparing for college. In this role, you'll collaborate with UVU departments, faculty, and high school administrators to ensure events are well-coordinated and meaningful.
As a member of the marketing team, you'll assist in creating promotional materials that enhance student engagement, working closely with the director and creative designer to make each event a success. If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a passion for making a difference in students' lives, this role offers the chance to bring energy and innovation to UVU's outreach efforts while growing your skills in event coordination and marketing.
Summary of Responsibilities
Assists the Events & Outreach Coordinator in planning, implementing, and assessing effectiveness of on-campus student-focused events - such as: campus visits and tours, symposiums, competitions, and other events that bring concurrent enrollment students to campus. Develops and distributes surveys following each event. Analyzes survey results to gage effectiveness of the individual event and gain comments and suggestions for future implementation. This information will also be used to produce reports containing metrics previously determined for maximum effectiveness. These events may include collaboration with both Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and individual departments across campus.Assists the Events & Outreach Coordinator in planning, implementing, and assessing effectiveness of Concurrent Enrollment focused off-campus events conducted at high schools, career fairs and information nights. These may include: Wolverine Wednesday's, in-class presentations, and any other Concurrent Enrollment high school student sponsored events geared toward current and potential concurrent enrollment students. Develops and distributes surveys following each event. Analyzes survey results to gage effectiveness of the individual event and gain comments and suggestions for future implementation. This information will also be used to produce reports containing metrics previously determined for maximum effectiveness. These events may include collaboration with one or multiple high school partners such as instructors, coordinators, and administrators.Works in collaboration with the CE Engagement Team, MarCom manager, and Senior Director of Concurrent Enrollment to produce and distribute marketing materials related to CE student focused events.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a directly related field of study; OR a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Preferred Qualifications1-2 years of experience in event support preferred College degree/certificate preferred.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
