Mrs. Clark's Foods is conveniently located in Ankeny, just 15 minutes outside the Iowa state capitol of Des Moines. Ideal candidates will seek to grow the organization long term through their skills as Senior Manager of Supply Chain.
The
Director - Supply Chain
oversees and directs the supply chain functions of planning, procurement, warehousing and transportation to ensure the plant achieves targeted business goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals and objectivesLead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, including departments such as purchasing, logistics, warehousing.Continually provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of supply chain operationsCollaborate with key stakeholders to align supply chain activities with overall business objectivesAnalyze market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvementWork closely with production, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chainSets clear expectations, directions, and priorities for purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teamsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan production accordinglyStreamline and optimize logistics and distribution processes for timely and cost-effective deliveryCoordinate with transportation providers to ensure efficient and reliable shipment of goodsThe position will oversee the purchasing of material, inventory management, warehousing, system data management, transportation and related logistics to execute safe, efficient and cost-effective storage and distribution of goodsRequirements
Qualifications:
5 years of management experienceStrong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory managementExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGood leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to work-cross functionallyProven capability to motivate and coach staff towards achieving high-quality resultsAnalyze & interpret materials management data & logically deduce the intended outcome to support production. Strong background in material management systems requiredStrong customer interfacing skillsSelf-starter with high energy level, understands high level objectives, and translates into action plan for assigned team
