Job description:A Northern Virginia-based government contractor and small business is seeking a back-office specialist to support our contract and finance management (AR, AP, etc). GovCon experience is a MUST, and you must be willing and able to support a diverse and dynamic executive management team. This is not a role for the timid, nor those with "chips on their shoulders". This is a difficult and demanding role that will leave you exhausted, but highly satisfied and appreciated. The right person will gain the confidence of executive management and run a growing back-office operation. The sky is the limit on growth potential.
In this role you will be a hands-on, go-to expert for all operations involving this small government contractor. You will be involved and in some cases leading in the following areas:
AP/ARContract ManagementCompliance support with various Small Business Administration (SBA) programs, including HUBZoneDeveloping and documenting policies and proceduresEnforcing policies and procedures across the organizationOversight of outsourced ITREQUIREMENTS:
Work with a government contractor is a MUSTMust have strong skills in Deltek Costpoint, including the ability to enter new projects/contracts, charge codes, etc.Experience in bookkeeping, AR and APKnowledge of government contracts and the various compliance requirements (e.g. insurance and reporting requirements)Able to quickly identify where processes are missing and develop/document them for various functions, and oversee their adoption across the organizationMust be IT savvy and able to work in a Microsoft environment, including Teams, SharePoint and actively use Tasks to keep yourself and others organizedThis is an onsite role. We may consider 2x/week telework after a strong work ethic has been demonstrated onsite.Job Type:

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
