Qualifications:
Required Education (Minimum degree required and Maximum degree accepted) and years of experience required for the role• BS/BA in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 4 years of related lab experience• Masters in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 2 years of related lab experience• PHD in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 1 year of related lab experience
Required Skills:• Experience with immunoassays and/or functional antibody assays.• Experience with bacterial culture and cell culture.• Hands on research experience with in vivo mouse models.• Hands on research experience within a BSL-2 environment.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and graphing software (GraphPad Prism).
Preferred Skills:• Bacterial vaccine research experience.• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.• Experience with ELISA and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) immunoassays.• Experience with opsonophagocytic killing assays (OPA/OPK) or serum bactericidal assays (SBA) functional antibody assays .• Experience with automated liquid handling systems.
Note:• This is 100% lab based onsite role.• Candidate should be fine with Blood borne pathogens titer screening after the assignment has started. Client will be performing the titer test.

We are seeking a scientist to join our Infectious Disease and Vaccines team in Early Discovery Bacteriology located in West Point, PA.Our team's objective is to solve key challenges in developing and progressing vaccine candidates for microbial targets. To help us achieve this goal, this individual should possess technical skills in immunoassays and in vivo mouse work.
Responsibilities include:• Collaborating in a fast-paced, integrated, multidisciplinary team environment• Evaluating preclinical immune sera in immunoassays and functional assays• Contributing to mouse vaccine immunogenicity and challenge studies with bacterial pathogens• Preparing technical documents and data for presentations and to support regulatory submissions
