The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) serves as regulatory body for all gambling activities across the state of Illinois. The IGB administers a regulatory and tax collection system for casino gambling, video gaming, and sports wagering in Illinois. The IGB is responsible for regulating the changes to the Illinois gaming industry, including the addition of 6 new casinos. addition of racinos.

Gaming Finance Supervisor

Essential Functions

Plans, directs, and evaluates activities of the Gaming Finance Section.Serves as s working supervisor.Develops financial suitability review processes, procedures, and related documents.Conducts complex financial reviews of casino/video gaming, and sports wagering applicants for licensure and of licensees for annual renewal, which are more sensitive in nature, as requested by management and the Board.Assists investigators from other Gaming sections during administrative and criminal investigations.Develops standards and procedures for the Gaming Financial Analysis Section.Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with coursework in accounting, finance, or auditing;Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private sector accounting or auditing office.Requires Active Status as Registered or Licensed CPA.Conditions of Employment

Pass Illinois Gaming Board's background investigation (background check).Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.Requires an appropriate, valid driver's license.Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest in, other than a passive interest in, a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act.Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in, or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State.Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.The conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefers at least 2 years' experience preparing or reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Prefers at least 2 years' experience supervising accounting or auditing staff.Prefers at least 2 years' experience using Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.Work Hours:
