The A.C. Coy company has an opening for a Digital Accessibility Specialist. Ideal candidates will have experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and experience with maintaining current standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct accessibility audits of websites and digital documents for compliance

Create guidelines and best practices for designing and maintaining accessible websites

Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Identify documents with accessibility concerns and propose updates

Recommend assisting software and hardware

Serve as subject matter expert for accessibility

QualificationsEducation Required:

Associates degree in related field

Experience Required:

2+ years of experience evaluating websites for accessibility

2+ years of experience with web communications, web development, or digital media

Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Knowledge of digital assistive technologies such as JAWs, Siteimprove, NVDA, Voiceover, or Talkback

Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and Java preferred
