Role: Senior Accessibility (Ax) ConsultantThe Senior Ax Consultant (SAC) is responsible for ensuring that day to day tasks are executed effectively by the team in accordance with the project plan. Along with creating the accessibility report, SAC reviews the report created by Accessibility Consultant (AC) for quality, mentors in the team and ensures that all processes and guidelines are followed. She/He is responsible to ensure consistency in the reports. In addition, the SAC also assists the Lead Accessibility Consultant in handling client queries and improving overall processes. If required, she/he needs to work with the remediation team to ensure appropriate accessibility solutions are implemented for the issues reported.Requirements:8-12 years of experience in AccessibilityExpert knowledge of Accessibility principles and guidelines (WCAG 2.2, Section 508)In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), assistive tools (like CCA, WAT), etc.Hands-on technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, ARIA to provide real-time solutions to the team and help the remediation team fix accessibility issues.Real-time experience with evaluating accessibility on mobile devices and the solutions which work for mobilesReal-time experience with evaluating accessibility for non-HTML content and native apps.Knowledge in JavaScript, JQuery and any one of the JS frameworks (Angular, Node, React etc...) is an added advantageStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong business writing/report writing skillsExperience in team managementAbility to meet challenges head-on and work within strict deadlinesResponsibilities:Adhere to the project plan by ensuring timely delivery of the allocated tasksBe in complete sync with LAC and raise flags if any risk is seenMonitor the quality of the accessibility reports created by ACUnderstand areas of business research and updates to the accessibility world.Identify critical issues with ease and provide resolutionsExhibit confidence and extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when writing accessibility reportsPush creative and innovative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practicesCommunicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business and pragmatic solutions with project managementFrame and implement policies and procedures to ensure the best quality and productivitySuggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutionsBuild effective working relationships within the team
