Location: Jacksonville, FL

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 (Based on Experience)

I am representing a well-established Commercial General Contractor based in Jacksonville, FL that is actively seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This company specializes in a variety of commercial projects, including healthcare, education (K-12), and mixed-use commercial units, with project values ranging from $1 million to $200 million. Their portfolio includes both ground-up construction and remodeling work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for healthcare, education, and mixed-use commercial projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and develop competitive bid proposals.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the bidding and pre-construction phases.
• Review plans, specifications, and other project documentation to provide precise and reliable estimates.
• Manage the bidding process from initial budget preparation to final submission.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids, ensuring the best value and quality for the client.
• Contribute to value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities when possible.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction.
• Familiarity with healthcare, education (K-12), and mixed-use commercial projects.
• Experience with both ground-up and remodeling construction.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
