Information Technology Support Technician

firstPRO is looking for an IT Support Technician to assist in the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, supporting desktop deployment, troubleshooting, and inventory management. This role will work directly with end-users and collaborate closely with the Desktop Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure a smooth migration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support Windows 11 deployment by assisting with system configurations, imaging, and re-imaging.
  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for end-users, resolving issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
  • Track hardware and software inventory throughout the migration process.
  • Deploy patches and ensure systems meet security and compliance standards.
  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and user interactions for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in desktop support or IT support, preferably with OS migrations.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and experience with SCCM or Intune.
  • Knowledge of imaging tools and inventory management.
  • Associate’s degree in IT or related field; relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator) preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a project-driven environment.
