The Systems Administrator is a key member of the IT team, responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Research hardware and software, interact with vendors, and secure network products and services.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations and devices.
  • Perform asset and operational management responsibilities, including managing servers, security solutions, routers, switches, and other network hardware.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
  • Provide effective and clear communication and strong customer service to clients, analyzing and resolving issues within SLAs.
  • Work through inbound customer calls and ticketing systems to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work on-call as part of a rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on server, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Proficient in server administration (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with network security tools and best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., MCSA, CCNA).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
