The Business Development Manager will focus on achieving revenue targets, refining sales processes, and understanding customer needs to help shape a unique portfolio and enhance the customer experience and advance the next generation of cellular therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers through prospecting, networking, and marketing activities, including attending industry conferences and tradeshows, to promote and secure new business leads.
  • Generate a robust sales pipeline to support short- and long-term revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop and submit customer proposals based on defined scope and team feedback.
  • Manage sales revenue performance within the assigned region.
  • Build and nurture relationships across various customer departments.
  • Serve as the main liaison between external partners and internal teams for successful product and service sales.
  • Create and implement sales strategies, maintain account plans, and identify growth opportunities within the territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
  • Communicate customer needs for products and services to R&D and Operations.
  • Work with Marketing to develop essential materials, collateral, and customer messaging.
  • Oversee each stage of the sales process, guiding customers through decision-making toward successful outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of pipeline and sales in line with reporting cycles.
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities, including Salesforce updates, monthly reports, expenses, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Promote culture of innovation, collaboration, transparency, and enjoyment in the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years in account management or business development within life sciences, specifically in the cell and gene therapy CDMO sector.
  • Local and national travel required, approximately 30-40%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and project management tools.
