Position Summary

The Manager of ERP Applications will oversee the development, implementation, and support of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT strategies. This role is responsible for leading a team of ERP specialists, managing relationships with stakeholders, and coordinating with various departments to optimize and customize ERP processes for business efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and an in-depth understanding of ERP systems and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ERP specialists, analysts, and developers.
  • Establish team goals and performance metrics, ensuring ongoing development and engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service.

ERP System Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the ERP system, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Manage the configuration, customization, and integration of ERP modules to support business processes.
  • Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for ERP systems usage and data management.

Project Management

  • Lead ERP implementation, upgrades, and enhancement projects from inception through completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure ERP projects align with business objectives and IT standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business units to gather and analyze ERP requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and other departments, fostering strong partnerships and effective communication.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to maximize system adoption and usability.

Strategic Planning and Innovation

  • Contribute to IT strategy and ERP roadmap planning to support long-term business growth.
  • Research and evaluate emerging ERP trends, tools, and technologies, providing recommendations for system improvements.
  • Ensure ERP applications comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and security protocols.

Vendor and Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and manage service escalations to ensure optimal support and service.
  • Oversee ERP budget planning and management, aligning expenditures with IT and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday ERP systems management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex ERP implementations and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of database management, application development, and business processes.
  • Certifications in PMP, ITIL, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data analysis.
