We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our estimating team to assist in preparing cost estimates for various design and engineering projects. You will be instrumental in supporting project budgeting, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and analyzing data to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for design and engineering projects, including material, labor, and time costs.
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to review and refine cost estimates.
- Research and source information on material costs, subcontractor pricing, and industry trends.
- Participate in meetings with the project team to ensure alignment on project scope, costs, and timelines.
- Maintain organized records of past estimates, cost data, and other relevant documents.
- Update and adjust estimates based on project revisions, scope changes, and other factors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in estimating or a similar role is advantageous but not required.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software (such as ProEst, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
