Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team and provide on-site technical support for end users at our Fort Worth location. The primary goal of this role is to diagnose, repair, and support IT hardware and software issues while ensuring optimal end-user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues on client PCs and mobile devices using approved methods and processes.
  • Installations: Set up and configure hardware and software for clients, including network and local printers.
  • Documentation: Complete required internal and client-related documentation on a daily basis.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Perform light troubleshooting of network issues.
  • User Training: Provide basic computer knowledge training to end users.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with end users and internal staff to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Customer Interaction: Work with a diverse range of internal and external customers, interpreting and communicating complex technical information.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and work independently to resolve issues.
  • Ticket Management: Take ownership of tickets from submission to resolution, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
  • End-User Focus: Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, always prioritizing the end user's best interests.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Escalate issues to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for in-depth troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Device Setup and Deployment:
  • Image and configure laptops and desktop computers.
  • Install required applications and conduct testing.
  • Set up devices for end users.

Requirements:

  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with end users and technical staff.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and managing ticket life cycles.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and customer-focused mindset.
