Information Technology Project Manager

We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager for a long-term contract in Austin, TX. This position will be onsite for the first two (2) weeks, then shifting to primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings required. To be considered, you must currently reside in the Austin Metropolitan area. The primary role for this position will be managing multiple technology projects simultaneously from start to finish. If selected, your roles and responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to the following:

• Developing project scope, human resource requirements, work plans, time schedules, risk register, and communication plans to manage towards project objectives.
• Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
• Tracking and reporting on project milestones and deliverables.
• Developing and maintaining business requirements and models to improve understanding of project plans and desired outcomes.
• Establishing and maintaining a production calendar to effectively manage periodic and stand-alone projects.
• Defining project success criteria and managing them with stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
• Effectively communicating project expectations to leadership, sponsors, team members, and stakeholders.
• Making process improvement suggestions to streamline project delivery.

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 yrs. of prior work experience managing the design, development, and implementation of projects to include, but not limited to, gathering and defining the project requirements
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience developing short- and long-range plans for projects, including estimating timelines for start-up and completion of projects
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience coordinating and prepares reports and correspondence in support of assigned projects
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience preparing and delivering presentations to the management team, department directors, and applicable program staff
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience assisting in planning, directing, and coordinating the department work plan; meets with management staff to identify and resolve problems
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience suggesting and implementing solutions to address new or ongoing challenges
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience managing scope expectations with program customer and stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 yrs. of prior work experience with Jira or similar tool(s) for managing requirements and project milestones
• 4 yrs. of prior work experience with agile methodologies in an IT setting
