Torrance - Main Campus LocationCareer Level: 2Salary Range: $72,200.00-$108,300.00Job PurposeEX2Procurement Specialists at American Honda Finance Corporation play a crucial role in managing cross-functional procurement projects within the financial services sector. This includes developing and executing comprehensive RFx programs, conducting thorough supplier analysis, facilitating stakeholder decision-making, and negotiating commercial contracts in strict compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. The Specialist serves as the primary liaison for business units and suppliers on assigned projects.Key AccountabilitiesContract Negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions of commercial contracts to secure favorable outcomes for the company while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.RFP Development: Crafting detailed RFx documents, managing the entire RFx process, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Procurement Expertise: Leading sourcing initiatives, evaluating supplier proposals, and conducting market analysis to inform stakeholder strategies.Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement solutions that support business goals.Supplier Analysis: Analyzing supplier responses and creating decision analysis documents to facilitate informed supplier selection.Contract Life Cycle Management: Overseeing the administration of commodity codes and managing the life cycle of contracts from inception to renewal or termination.Special Projects: Supporting special projects and initiatives, including compliance changes, supplier audits, business unit training, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsOther Job Specific Skills:Bachelors degree in procurement, law, business or a closely related field or has an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMasters degree or ISM certified is a plusStrong negotiation skills requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint.Project management education or experience desiredComputer skills with demonstrated knowledge of MS applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or other common ERP systemsExperience with MS Project, Visio, or similar programs desired
