Position Grade 13Note: The Best Consideration Date has been extended to 11/1/2024.SummaryThe Student Accountability and Conflict Resolution Specialist reports to the Associate Dean of Student Rights and Responsibilities and performs duties under limited supervision while utilizing developmental approaches in response to student conduct and conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate progressive administrative experience with complex student disciplinary case management and possess high ethical and confidentiality standards. This individual should be a proven innovator with experience developing and implementing industry-standard solutions and should understand and apply student development theory within a community of diverse students. The Student Accountability and Conflict Resolution Specialist should be a skilled communicator and collaborator who takes initiative while serving as a subject matter expert through consultation, workshops, and educational programs.ResponsibilitiesCase Management, Investigations and Student Conduct AdministrationServe as case resolution coordinator for student and student organization conduct cases, including investigations, determining responsibility, and assigning conduct outcomes.Student Development and LearningCreate and implement learning-centered student learning goals and responsive conduct outcomes. Facilitate restorative practices processes including educational conversations, conflict-coaching sessions, and facilitate dialogue.Prevention and EducationDevelop, expand and evaluate proactive and intentional interventions and preventative educational pathways. Work in tandem and liaise with community partners in response to case management, student success, and campus safety issues.Assessment and ComplianceDevelop and analyze reports of student behavioral trends and program outcome assessment measures that demonstrate evidence-based approaches that contribute to student success. Collect, maintain and audit statistical and confidential records.SupervisionRecruit, train and supervise personnel, motivating employees to achieve peak performance and creating co-curricular learning opportunities as the foundation of any work experience.Conditions of EmploymentEmployees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, counseling, or a related field.One year of student conduct administration experience or equivalent.Familiarity with Advocate or other student conduct / case management databases.Experience working with college students on decision-making related to developmental skills.Experience with marketing collateral, web design or content management systems.The equivalent of two years of professional experience in a higher education setting.Program development experience, including implementation of educational opportunities, programs and/or resources, supports, and interventions.Assessment and grant writing experience.Additional RequirementsCampus Main - Albuquerque, NMDepartment Dean of Students (670A)Employment Type StaffStaff Type Regular - Full-TimeStatus ExemptPay Monthly: $4,073.33 - $5,721.73Benefits Eligible: This is a benefits eligible position.
