Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Engineering Technician

Responsibilities
  • Personnel interested in engineering and construction fields, such as buildings, roads, and utilities. Knowledge of earthwork, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and steel will be helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Candidates with civil or construction engineering education or degrees may be eligible for higher pay.
  • These positions are meant to be long-term jobs on public-sector projects throughout the state of North Carolina.
  • A person should be able-bodied capable of lifting 60-pound weights and work extended hours on construction sites most days.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Mid to Senior Level Experience Required - 5+ years
  • Required Certifications: ACI & at minimum 1 ICC, SCDOT, NICET & AWS certification required, with the capability of obtaining additional certifications within no greater than 6 months of the date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • A strong team mentality is required.
