Human Resource Generalist
Location: Solon, Ohio
Pay: $60k to $90k Based on Experience
Schedule: In-Office daily
PrideStaff is conducting a search for their Hudson client for an experienced Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
An ideal Human Resource Generalist candidate for this position will be someone with a strong attention to detail, highly confidential, and possesses a firm understanding of the HR profession. The HR Generalist must have a bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration, and a SHRM or HRCI certification. An HR Generalist with some experience working in a production union environment is ideal.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administers compensation, benefits, and leave programs
- Advises on all personnel issues
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency with a popular HRIS and talent management system
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
- Union experience a plus
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $60,000.00 - $90,000.00
