Job SummaryThe Development Director plays a crucial role in driving the fundraising efforts and strategic growth of our organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships, and overseeing all aspects of development operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for nonprofit management, and a proven track record in successful fundraising initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to meet organizational goals.Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through effective relationship management.Oversee proposal writing for grants and funding opportunities to secure financial support.Manage fundraising events from planning to execution, ensuring successful outcomes.Utilize platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, and Salesforce for donor communications and relationship tracking.Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance social media management efforts that promote fundraising campaigns.Negotiate sponsorships and partnerships that align with the organization's mission.Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance metrics to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Provide leadership and mentorship to development staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Proven experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, or related fields.Strong skills in proposal writing and event planning.Proficiency in using CRM systems such as Salesforce for tracking donor engagement.Familiarity with email marketing tools like MailChimp or Constant Contact is highly desirable.Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.A passion for the mission of the organization and commitment to its values.Job Type : Full-timePay : $60,000.00 - $67,000.00 per yearBenefits :401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule :8 hour shiftEvenings as neededMonday to FridayWeekends as neededExperience :Fundraising: 3 years (Preferred)Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute :Indianapolis, IN 46268 (Required)Ability to Relocate :Indianapolis, IN 46268: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location : Hybrid remote in Indianapolis, IN 46268
