5.00Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical support under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or professional nurse. The CMA will assist in direct patient care and handle various administrative tasks in a medical office environment.Essential Job Functions:Prepare exam and treatment rooms, equipment, supplies, and instruments.Support patients in preparation for physician examinations and provide assistance as needed.Record patients' vital signs and document in medical charts.Operate and maintain special medical equipment as necessary.Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, and Phlebotomy after completion of performance evaluations.Maintain patient records, filing documents and reports accurately.Assist with billing and collection procedures when necessary.Use office software for record-keeping and patient management.Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy.Adjust care delivery to meet the diverse needs of patients (age, culture, language, etc.).Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.Lift at least 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours per day.Required Skills and Experience:Strong communication skills and the ability to interact supportively with diverse patient populations.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of computerized data entry procedures.
Preferred Experience:Prior experience with GI and Epic software (not required).Education:Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.Certifications and Licensure:Required:
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.One of the following certifications:
CMA-NHA, CMA-NCCT, CMA-AAMA, RMA-AMT, RMA-NAHP, AMCA, or NCMA.
Schedule Details:Monday to Thursday:
Alternating shifts each week between two locations.Mondays:
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Avenel Office)Tuesdays:
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Plainfield Office) or 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Avenel Office)Wednesdays:
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Plainfield Office) or Avenel Office (dependent on week)Thursdays:

Additional Notes:No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.CMA will alternate between two locations (20 minutes apart):
