Job Title : Certified Medical Assistant - Physician Services CWRLocation : Avenel, NJ, 07001 & Plainfield, NJ, 07060Hours per Week : 40.00Schedule : Mondays - Thursdays, alternating between two locations.Job Summary:
The
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
will assist in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or nurse while also performing clerical duties. The CMA will be responsible for preparing exam rooms, assisting in examinations, performing routine tests and lab procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.Key Responsibilities:Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.Prepare patients for physician visits and examinations and assist during exams as directed.Take patient vitals and record them in medical charts.Perform procedures like EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, and Phlebotomy after completing necessary evaluations.Assist with collections, billing procedures, and file maintenance.Utilize computer systems for data entry and office systems maintenance.Identify and respond to confidentiality issues.Modify care delivery to meet the specific needs of the patient population (considering age, culture, etc.).Other duties and projects as assigned.Required Skills & Experience:Excellent communication skills
and the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.Ability to work efficiently in a
fast-paced environment .Proficient in computerized processes and data entry.Education:High School Diploma or GED
- Required.Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Preferred.Certifications & Licensure:AHA BLS
- Required.Must have
one
of the following certifications:
CMA (NHA, NCCT, AAMA)RMA (AMT, NAHP)AMCANCMA
Languages:English
(Speak, Read, Write).Schedule Notes:Mondays : 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM at
Avenel Office .Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays : Alternating between
Avenel Office
and
Plainfield Office .No weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating to other locations.Experience with
GI/Epic
is a plus but not required.At least
2 years of CMA experience
is preferred.
