The Women's Health/Prenatal Care Medical Provider at Bond Community Health Center plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to women, focusing on reproductive health, family planning, prenatal, and postnatal care. This position ensures high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. The provider will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally competent, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
Requirements
* Prenatal and Postnatal Care: Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including routine exams, ultrasounds, screening for genetic and developmental conditions, and managing pregnancy-related conditions. Continue patient care post-delivery with emphasis on recovery and maternal health.* Family Planning & Reproductive Health: Counsel patients on contraceptive options, manage contraceptive prescriptions, and provide education on reproductive health.* Preventive Care: Perform routine well-woman exams, including Pap smears, breast exams, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).* Chronic Condition Management: Monitor and treat conditions such as diabetes and hypertension as they relate to pregnancy and women's health.* Patient Education & Counseling: Provide patient-centered counseling on prenatal health, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and family planning.* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team, including nurses, Medical Assistants, case managers, and other medical providers to deliver holistic care.* Care Coordination: Coordinate referrals for specialized care (e.g., high-risk obstetrics) when necessary and ensure follow-up.* Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with FQHC guidelines, federal and state regulations, and clinical protocols.* Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient needs, particularly those from underserved populations, ensuring equitable access to resources and services.* Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuous professional development to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
* Education:* Must be a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus on women's health and prenatal care.* Current valid license to practice in the state of Florida.* Board certification in a relevant specialty .* Minimum of two years of experience providing women's health services, including prenatal care, in a primary care or community health setting preferred.* Experience in an FQHC or with underserved populations is highly desirable.* Skills & Abilities:* Strong understanding of women's health and prenatal care best practices, guidelines, and evidence-based care.* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage complex patient care.* Proficient in the use of EMR systems (e.g., Athenahealth).* Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are highly preferred but not required.* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.* Certifications:* Current CPR/BLS certification is required.* DEA certification required if applicable to the scope of practice.
