**Cardiology Nurse Practitioner**
to become part of our client's team in

- 28150. This is a direct-hire, full-time, and permanent opportunity.
**Pay**
$134,000
**Shift**
- Monday-Friday
- 8:30am-5pm
- On-Call every 4-6 weeks
- May be back up on weekends/holidays (rotation and extra mileage offered)
**Job Summary**
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with advanced life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses, focusing on high-quality end-of-life care, including hospice care. The Cardiology NP duties focus on IP and OP heart failure patients. They prevent suffering and manage physical, spiritual, and psychological pain by diagnosing, treating, and alleviating symptoms, including pain management. The role includes guiding patients and families on disease progression and treatment options, prescribing therapeutic measures, and collaborating with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals as needed. The Nurse Practitioner also serves as an educational resource within the organization and the community, actively pursues continuing education, participates in team discussions, and contributes to policy development and staff training. Additionally, they ensure the efficient delivery of care to optimize reimbursement, promote early referrals to palliative care and hospice, and complete all billing and documentation according to policy.
**Qualifications**
- Masters in Nursing (MSN)
- NC NP License
- Official recognition as NP from NC Board of Nursing.
- Cardiac and or heart failure experience/background preferred.
- Palliative experience preferred but not necessary.
- At least 1 year of related experience providing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
- Experience may be in the following setting(s): hospice and palliative care; family medicine; internal medicine; geriatrics, oncology; home health care; medical surgical.
- Successful board certification in specialty within 2 years of hire date.
- BLS
- DEA
