Job Summary
LBBK is seeking an experienced litigation Legal Secretary for its San Diego office, with 5 years of heavy litigation experience required. The ideal candidate must possess strong civil litigation knowledge, excellent calendaring and organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently within a busy office environment.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
• Editing and finalizing legal documents, letters, and reports
• Manual Calendaring (Outlook)
• Filing with state and federal courts (including e-filing)
• General administrative duties such as answering phones, expense reports, travel arrangements and managing attorneys' schedules
• Manage work for multiple cases and multiple attorneys
• Work independently as well as support team efforts
Minimum Requirements
• Must be an experienced litigation legal secretary with minimum of 5 years of experience
• Must have thorough knowledge of state and federal court filing requirements including experience with e-filing
• Must have strong knowledge of calendaring (i.e. state and federal court rules, dates and procedures) without the use of a calendaring program
• Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Able to prepare TOA's and TOC's in Word.
• Experience preparing legal documents including motions (MSJs), discovery, pleadings and judicial council forms
• Great communication skills and extremely organized
• Familiarity with iManage, Coyote Analytics, Westlaw - Deadline Assistant, and PACER
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work independently with little supervision, and still get the job done

Full-Time: 40 hours a week (In-office required. Hybrid schedule after 3 months) Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
