Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesTubman is seeking a full-time Legal Resource Manager to join our collaborative team to support the agency’s vision, mission, and values. This position will assist clients in assessing their legal needs, providing additional support, and connecting them with further legal services at Tubman as well as other internal and external resources.
The Legal Resource Manager will serve in a leadership role on Tubman’s newly created Central Access Team and will provide support and training around legal processes related to relationship violence. This position will also work closely with our legal advocacy and attorney teams across the agency to improve access, efficiency, and client experience when seeking services from Tubman.

Key Responsibilities
Assess individual needs and provide support, safety planning, and resources to people seeking services via phone, in person, or by email and text, connecting them directly to the specific services they need whenever possible.
Assist Tubman’s Central Access Team in identifying and working with clients who are seeking legal services.
Further assess legal needs and collect information needed for appropriate legal referrals.
Provide direct service to clients, including safety planning, providing information on court processes, and drafting protective orders as time allows.
Connect clients with additional internal and external resources.
Provide training and information on criminal and civil legal processes to Central Access Team members and serve as a legal resource for the team.
Provide supervision of Central Access Team staff, volunteers, and interns as part of a shared supervisory approach.
Work with Tubman legal teams to identify ways to streamline access and efficiency for improved client experience.
Work with all agency programs to streamline access for people seeking services and de-silo departments and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years’ experience as a legal advocate working directly with victim/survivors of relationship violence.
Solid understanding of the civil and criminal court processes related to domestic abuse.
Ability to effectively communicate with people in crisis.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with demonstrated experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Action oriented and self-directed.
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and adapt to fluctuations in work pace.
Good understanding of teamwork and multi-disciplinary work and how to apply that to a broader agency.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Pass DHS Fingerprint Criminal Background Study as required by program licensing.
Preferred Candidate
Experience providing supervision and mentorship for staff and/or interns.
Experience working in a non-profit agency.
Multi-lingual.
Experience with Microsoft 365.

This position will be based at Tubman Chrysalis in Minneapolis MN and will require some weekday evening hours.
Compensation & BenefitsThe target salary for the position is $65,000 annually. Tubman provides a quality benefits package that includes a highly competitive paid time off program, multiple health plan options, dental, short- and long-term disability and life insurances, as well as other optional health and wellness insurances to meet diverse employee needs, and a 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer matches.
