9/80 schedule availableRelocation AvailableFocus: The Fired Equipment Tech Center Associate is responsible for in-depth knowledge of the incineration technology to assist the Chlor-Vinyl, Epoxy, and Chlorinated Organics businesses to maximize the efficiency and value creation from the approximately 20 existing incineration and fired equipment units.The Fired Equipment Tech Center Associate will utilize in-depth knowledge of incineration technology, coupled with knowledge of Business chemistry to consult with the equipment owners and operator on ways to improve operational parameters and operating discipline to maximize asset value creation. This role will be a resource for operations personnel when incineration equipment in their plant does not operate as expected.Fired Equipment Tech Center Associate Essential Job Functions:Consult with operating units on current operational issues and assist with development/improvement of operating discipline for incineration or fired equipment systems.Analyze reliability data and assist plans improve asset capability to maximize up time and minimize costs for fired equipment and downstream treatment units.Evaluate project scopes and develop technology packages for upgrade or new construction projects.Work with plant engineers and environmental compliance engineers to ensure units meet or exceed all air permit requirements.Facilitate HAZOP, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Burner Management System Audits.Provide technical training for operations teams.Keep up to date on all changes to environmental and process safety regulations that impact incineration and fired equipment.Perform periodic audits of each facility that contains incineration or fired equipment to ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements.
Fired Equipment Tech Center Associate Minimum Requirements:
Must meet one of the following:Bachelor's Degree* in science-related discipline, (Engineering degree preferred); with 10 years of experience with industrial incineration equipment, operating conditions and control strategy; OR,High school diploma or equivalent and 15 years of industrial incineration equipment, operating conditions and control strategy experience.
Knowledge base should include burners, refractory materials, blowers, and flue gas scrubbers.Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations in the countries of operation preferred.Able to work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.Process engineering experience, as well as familiarity with process simulation tools or statistical software preferred.Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
