This exciting new internship opportunity will analyze, validate, and gather water data for use in Olin's corporate ESG scorecard.Examples of Sustainability Intern Daily Activities:Engage with each Olin plant in Freeportand update existing flowcharts showing the main water flows.Define all instruments that can be used and set up data gathering in Aspen IP21.Evaluate if the water contained in our products is returned to the outfall or not.Develop the process discipline for annual data gathering.Educate plant personal why it is important to capture all flows correctly.Estimate the impact of closing the water balance in terms of water numbers being reported.
Position Specific Requirements:Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree program. Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location.Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situationsMust have completed sophomore year prior to first assignment with OlinAbility to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) May - August 2025. Not eligible for virtual work.Preference will be given to candidates with availability and desire to work a minimum of three (3) terms with no more than one of those terms occurring over the summerMust be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visaMust be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)A Valid US Driver's license is required
