KinderCare is seeking a dedicated Proposal Manager to help share our story! Are you a creative self-starter with a desire to advocate for higher educational standards across the nation and support current child care initiatives?
Drive the development of client-facing proposals and support our organization’s goal of growing our business! The ideal candidate has a passion for education—particularly early childhood education—and a desire to be part of a team whose goal is to help new and existing clients understand the true value of high-quality education within child care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle proposal development from kickoff to delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality responses.
Collaborate with SMEs across Sales, Finance, Field Operations, Legal, Marketing, and other departments for accurate, strategic proposals.
Resolve legal, technical, and financial requirements with SME input and review.
Lead cross-functional teams to create client-centric responses through kickoff meetings, project plans, and follow-up.
Write and edit proposals for compliance, competitiveness, voice consistency, and clean formatting.
Use Loopio to develop, update, and lead standard proposal responses.
Participate in weekly team and 1:1 calls with manager.
Review wins/losses, attend debriefs, and works to improve proposal processes.
Attends on-site meetings for strategy, team building, and other purposes as needed.
Qualifications:BA/BS in English, Communications, Education, Early Childhood Education, or Journalism
At least two years of experience developing sharp, visually appealing written documents in a professional team environment
At least one year of experience working as a proposal writer or similar deadline-focused position is preferred
Established history with Loopio or other proposal development platforms is preferred
Ability to write and edit for a variety of audiences (e.g., teachers, school administrators, families, industry leaders, CEOs)
History of delivering high-quality products under deadline
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
