Our client, a distinguished Am Law Top 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate to join their highly regarded Labor and Employment Practice. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team nationally ranked by Chambers USA and recognized by “Best Law Firms.” The role offers the flexibility to be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices.
Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will engage in a diverse and challenging workload across a range of employment and labor issues, with a client base that includes regional, national, and multinational companies. Key responsibilities include:Advising clients on complex employment compliance matters, such as worker classification, wage and hour regulations, immigration, union and collective bargaining matters, employment policies, and equal opportunity laws.Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.Counseling on reductions-in-force, WARN Act issues, and other employment law compliance.Performing employment-related due diligence and handling employment representations and covenants in transaction documents.Handling litigation matters within the Labor & Employment space, including general litigation, class actions, wage and hour disputes, and trade secret issues.
Qualifications:We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:A minimum of 3–7 years of employment law experience, preferably from a nationally recognized law firm.Admission to Texas bar.Superior academic credentials and an affinity for research and writing.Strong writing, oral communication, and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail and an organized approach.Demonstrated experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting legal research at a high level.Proven ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented, collaborative approach and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
