Represent fund sponsors in the formation and structuring of investment funds, including private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.Advise clients on regulatory compliance, fund operations, and fund governance matters.Draft and negotiate fund formation documents, including limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and management agreements.Provide legal guidance on fund-related transactions, including investments, exits, and fundraising.Conduct legal research and analysis to support fund formation and operation.Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to address complex legal issues.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments affecting investment funds.Manage multiple client matters efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines and client expectations.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.2-6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm, with a focus on investment funds.Demonstrated experience representing fund sponsors and advising on fund formation and structuring.Strong understanding of relevant regulations and industry practices related to investment funds.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Outstanding academic credentials and professional qualifications.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in Illinois.Skills:
