A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Eminent Domain Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join their team. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:Job Overview:
Provide legal counsel and representation in eminent domain cases.Collaborate with team members to enhance the firm's brand and reputation.Manage law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.Build cases for trial, including evidence development, witness interviews, and depositions.Duties:
Provide legal advice and representation in eminent domain matters.Conduct legal research and analysis.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Participate in case strategy development and implementation.Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.Attend court hearings and trials as required.Handle settlement negotiations when appropriate.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.Minimum of 7+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on eminent domain preferred.Excellent academic credentials.Outstanding analytical and creative thinking capabilities.Superior research and writing skills.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Proven ability to work effectively in teams.Prior experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.Experience building cases for trial, including evidence development and deposition experience.Preferred Skills:
Experience in real estate/real property law.Familiarity with California eminent domain laws and procedures.Demonstrated success in trial advocacy.Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.This position offers reasonable billable hours requirements, annual discretionary and billable hours bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, and a 401(k) with partial match and profit-sharing opportunities.
