Job Overview:

A growing law firm in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking a passionate and experienced Immigration Attorney with expertise in USCIS and removals. The attorney will work closely with paralegals and the Managing Partner to provide legal representation for individuals navigating complex immigration cases. This role requires strong legal expertise, client interaction, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.Duties:Provide legal representation to individuals on various immigration matters, including appearances before U.S. immigration courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).Conduct thorough consultations and preparation sessions with clients for interviews and court appearances.Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents and develop appropriate legal strategies.Manage a large caseload, including drafting, reviewing, and filing petitions and legal documents.Oversee case preparation, track deadlines, and ensure timely case progress.Guide and monitor paralegals on assigned cases, reviewing their work on documentation and recordkeeping.Prepare legal cover letters, memorandums, briefs, and file appeals before administrative and federal courts.Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates on case progress through phone, email, and written communication.Develop and litigate cases, conduct legal research, and participate in strategy development.Represent clients in court hearings, USCIS interviews, and other administrative proceedings.Participate in outreach, training, and case acceptance meetings.Requirements:Minimum of two years of experience as an Immigration Attorney with a focus on USCIS and removals.Strong knowledge of immigration laws and experience representing clients in court and administrative hearings.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.Proficient in managing large caseloads and working in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively with paralegals and other legal staff.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to travel as needed for USCIS interviews and court appearances.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment in client matters.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active California Bar license in good standing.Skills:Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong interpersonal and client service skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite or related software.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain composure under deadlines.
