Position Summary:

The role of the Packaging Specialist is to be a support and liaison between production and maintenance. The Equipment Specialist provides the knowledge of the machine centers to be able to successfully and effectively train SMO, PMO in the operations of the machine center. Also, the Packaging Specialist will be a support for the Packaging Supervisors into the development of their teams by periodically assessing a skills matrix.

When the Maintenance Lead is not on site, the packaging specialist provides the support needed to the Maintenance team.

The Packaging specialist works together with Equipment Specialist to develop daily, weekly AM tasks and startup checklists.

What you will do:

Develop training for packaging operations team on how to effectively operate and setup the machineDevelop and maintain a skill matrix for packaging operations to bring packaging operations to the next levelDevelop, organize and maintain both; hard and soft libraries for training manuals, operation manuals and training documentsHelp and support the AM programPerforms other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GEDPhysically able to repeatedly lift a 40-pound cases of productTechnical and Operational experience in packaging equipment (10+ years of experience)Basic computer operations and Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Gmail)Thorough comprehension of reading, writing and speaking English, Spanish is a plusWilling and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
