Position Summary:
The Category Manager is responsible for championing the development and execution of short and long term segment plans that leverage consumer, culinary and customer insights, as well as future trends. The Category Manager will focus on delivering business/financial requirements, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of products which meet consumer and customer needs. In delivering upon these goals, the Category Manager will need to leverage both internal, third party and syndicated data sources to develop compelling sales stories for the customer.
What you’ll be doing:
The Category Manager, will be responsible for developing long term strategic plans, and for translating it effectively into annual customer plans and programs. Of primary importance in these plans will be top line growth and margin improvement for the customer, category and Bonduelle Fresh America.Travel to customer meetings, as needed and as requested.A proven track record of results with a bias for actionA passion for learning and a craving to work in a fun cultureDesired Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in sales or category management within the retail consumer packaged goods.Experience in the fresh-cut industry preferred.College degree in related field required. MBA preferredDemonstrated success in category management or sales, including experience leading customer presentationsDeep understanding of internal and syndicated data sources and how to leverage them in analysis and story telling.Excellent attention to detailGood communication skills (both verbal and written); presentation experience preferredExcellent multi-tasking skillsExcellent planning and organizational skillsDemonstrated success in managing key projects against established deadlines through self efforts.Strong computer literacy: must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPointCustomer travel approximately 30% of the time.
