Job DescriptionA manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Junior Accountant. In this seat, you will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and assist with general ledger maintenance as well as year-end close. The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of accounting experience, has handled GL maintenance, and has relevant industry experience (technology/manufacturing).
Responsibilities
Assist with general ledger reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.Support the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.Utilize accounting software to manage financial data and streamline processes.Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.Maintain accurate records of wills, trusts, and estate law transactions as needed.Contribute to the development of financial strategies by providing insights from financial analysis.Engage in double entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records.Requirements
Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes.Familiarity with private equity accounting practices is a plus.Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is advantageous.Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.Understanding of corporate accounting principles is essential.
