Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an open opportunity for a Configuration and Data Management Engineering Manager to join our team supporting our Plymouth, Minnesota location.

Position Description

The Configuration and Data Management function is at the forefront of program strategy creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

The manager will coach, mentor, and empower staff members in their role.

Team members will perform program audits and lead various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with internal and external customers – supporting the process of Change Notices (CN’s), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program.

They will position their team members to be the program advocates and drivers supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to our customers helping to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements.

The manager will review and approve Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across all business programs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics plus 6 years of related experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM). Or, master’s degree (preferable in Systems Engineering) plus 4 years of relevant experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience working in configuration management in a highly regulated industry.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret.

Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools.

Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs).

Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and the proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.

Experience with data analytics or automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering or project management organizations.

Experience with Cameo System Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architect.

Experience with Systems Engineering.

Experience in the aerospace industry.

Experience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.

Experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools (Teamcenter Enterprise Product Information Center (ePIC) or Teamcenter Unified Architecture).

Familiarity with Export Control regulations (EAR/ITAR).

Experience with Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Visualization.

Salary Range:

$99,800 - $149,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
